Today I want to talk about something that is not always so obvious to those who are new to Traffic Exchanges, and clicking to earn credits to show their products. Exchanging time and clicks can be very boring, but many of the Traffic Exchanges have added contests, bitcoins, zubees, stickers, you name it to make it more exciting and keep eyes on their promotions. I joined a program called CTP (Click-Track-Profit) from TimTech because it has a good training program included and shows the beginners how to get started. It also has a more advanced version that includes more detailed training called Kore4. Kore4 includes upgrades to 5 sites to make the most of your efforts.
TimTech used the innovations to make a game out of learning the basics, as well as becoming a kind of downline builder as well. As time went on they added more with teams so a group of people working together could earn additional credits, prizes ,etc. With each season, it seems like the potential rewards for those on a team are growing larger.
I finally joined a team (go Wealthbuilders!) this last year and found a lot of very special people who have bonded together and try to help each others business grow. I love this aspect of the teams, however after being in the most recent season and going through playoffs, I was a bit discouraged by how much of the competition really was how many people bought upgrades or XP , etc. to the point that it was no longer about using the basics to build your business but who could outspend to gain more points. I have to say though that it is a genius idea by the owners! ..Creating the excitement and competition and then offering extra incentives to join new programs that are offered kept people surfing, chatting, and yes, BUYING more product.
Although I felt frustration from others around me about the competition, I had to remind myself that I was the one that let it distract me from my focus of building my business. So while the playoffs are continuing at this time, I am happy to be back to real life and starting anew with my goals. Who were the real winners..? Well in some ways all who were promoting their sites got a lot more views and potential sales …providing you remembered to keep assigning credits, the site owners.. they get more people to join or surf at their sites so they also can make a profit from upselling products or subscriptions, and TimTech for being creative enough to find a way to increase their sales and membership while providing a service for those members. So if you took advantage of the marketing opportunities that CTP and the season provided, and kept your own marketing goals in mind, I would say that it was a WIN, WIN, WIN for everyone.
I would like to make a suggestion though to the people who plan competitions. Keep in mind ALL of your members, not just the heavy hitters and make it possible for anyone to win, not only those who can afford to keep purchasing products…after all a real competition is much more rewarding in the end to all.
Next time though, I’m keeping my goals in front of me, to make sure they are being worked, before focusing so much on winning the contest!
Did you participate? I would love to hear your comments.

Awesome blog post Carla! I am happy and proud to be part of the Wealthbuilders team with you. I too really appreciate Click Track Profit community for all that it has to offer in network marketing training and sharing strategies for success. We have learned a lot especially in this last team competition. Never before have I thought that losing was winning but I think it really applied to this situation. It is true that you have to spend money to make money. It is called investing in your success. However, spending money to win a contest somehow just does not add up when you run the numbers. Now that we have won by not being in that activity anymore we can get back to helping others be successful. The more people we can help the better place this world will be. Your blog is a refreshing step in the right direction.
I do agree with you but it is also about bonus I know if I was kore 4 we would of had way much points looking the SA Team board they have a LOT of kore 4 members.
Wow Carla,
I could not have said it better myself. I admit and so would anyone on TimTech you could catch, that the competitions are geared more toward the TE Owners rather than the average surfer. Since i was leader of a team (Go WealthBuilders) I felt a responsibility to help provide opportunities for the members of my team to help them develop their own business and/or get affiliate sales. I hope I was able to at least point people in the right direction.
Having a team like ours, close and family like for the most part, I especially felt responsible to allow a buying frenzy when another team was destined to win anyway. It’s called responsible business practice. I mean who benefits? As a TE owner, I benefitted greatly and will probably continue to work with CTP. Why ? Mostly because the people I have met are fantastic. I would have not really had the opportunity, or the confidence to talk in chat, write a blog, Tweet with purpose or make a video. All things my Team helped me do. I love those guys and have developed long lasting relationships with over 100 people as some have come and gone within two Wealth builder Teams. So yeah some get carried away with Win at all costs. I was a winner from the beginning for attracting this great group of people.
Carla sorry for the long winded response. Love your blog.
Respectfully submitted,
Evelyn Kramer
I loved reading this Carla….
The most important thing we try to bring across, in everything we do…Is teamwork and how important it is for your businesses.
All the XP earned, programs surfed, emails read…Doesn’t mean anything unless , like you said, people are growing together.
Thank you so much for taking part in our playoffs and we’re looking forward to seeing you crush it in Season 4 🙂

Very well done Carla. We certainly are responsible for our distractions and finding a way to stay focused on our top goals while participating in all the games and contests is an important part of pushing through those targets that will bring results.
Play the games, take part in the contest, but don’t get buried by them.
And CTP, it still rocks.
