Countdown to the Big Road Trip

Today I am on a countdown, to a roadtrip out west.  I am attending a transformational/success seminar in Scottsdale, AZ.  Since I lost my job a few months ago and am working on building up my marketing and coaching business with a specialty in online services, I made the decision to fulfill one of the items on my bucket list.  This was to drive cross country.  I have been to the west coast and states west of the Mississippi many times, however it was always flying.  As much as I love to fly, I really wanted to see the country and places in between.

There were lots of concerns from friends and family about my heading out on a 4000 mile round trip quest all alone, however I have planned as much as I could and am really looking forward to it.  There may not be another time where I can be away from my home and/or business for almost a month again for a very long time.  So here it is less than a week away and my car has been checked out, my reservations have been made and clothes are in piles on the couch waiting to go into suitcases.

As I am preparing for this trip, it struck me how much it is like life.  So many times, I stopped myself from trying new things or taking a chance on a new business idea or venture for either fear of the unknown or that I shouldn’t or couldn’t do it alone.  Some of the best things in life come right after you try something new or out of your comfort zone.

This will be quite an adventure and I will update you as I go across the country starting here in Cincinnati, Ohio.  I’m ready for a new adventure. What will be your next adventure?
